The transition to a healthier workday doesn’t have to be difficult. While studies have shown that movement throughout the workday improves health, performance and concentration, outfitting the office with an entire suite of sit-to-stand workstations may not prove feasible. Humanscale engineered the solution with the QuickStand—a sit-to-stand attachment for fixed height desks.
Designed using constant-force technology, you can easily raise your monitor and keyboard from a sitting to standing position in seconds. A sleek profile and ease of use make QuickStand a simple enhancement to your workday and beyond: Simply clamp the QuickStand to your current workstation, plug in and you’re done!
QuickStand features an innovative counterbalance mechanism that enables users with fixed-height computer desks to transition from sitting to standing positions with ease. Its effortless functionality encourages users to be active and integrate movement into their days, which is vital for health.
A sleek design with a minimalist aesthetic, QuickStand seamlessly integrates cable management, mechanisms, and moving parts into its chassis. Its minimal footprint frees up space on home office furniture, traditional work surfaces, temporary hot desks and collaborative workstations, allowing QuickStand to fit into any work setting.
The QuickStand workstation is robustly designed to ensure the keyboard platform remains stable with no bouncing when the user types. Available in a number of configurations including dual monitor setups, QuickStand is the perfect co-worker for any space.
“If a design solves a functional problem as simply and elegantly as possible, it will not only have superior performance, but its aesthetic will be timeless as well.”
— Robert King, Humanscale Founder and CEO
Humanscale was founded in 1983 with a mission to develop high-performance ergonomic office tools that would solve functional problems as straightforwardly and gracefully as possible. Beginning with its first product — an anti-glare filter that improved the visibility of monochrome monitors in the early 1980s — the company has methodically designed some of the most innovative products in the industry. In the late 1990s, Humanscale made a significant mark with its introduction of high-performance articulating keyboard systems, offering effortless one-touch adjustability while eliminating the knee-clearance issues associated with competing solutions. Today, the company is still the leader in that product category.
In 1999, Humanscale turned heads in the contract furniture industry with the introduction of the Freedom chair, designed by ergonomics pioneer Niels Diffrient. Combining unprecedented functionality with minimal manual controls, the chair broke new ground by utilizing dynamic mechanisms that respond to the requirements of each individual user automatically. Since its introduction in 1999, Freedom has won 10 international design awards and has been featured in virtually every major design publication.
Building on the success of the Freedom chair, in 2004 Diffrient designed the Liberty chair, which featured a tri-panel configuration of non-stretch mesh that provides tailor-made lumbar support without external devices.
In addition to task and office seating, Humanscale’s award-winning product line includes articulating keyboard supports, adjustable monitor arms, task lighting, CPU holders, laptop holders, foot rests and ergonomic mice. Headquartered in New York City with distribution worldwide, Humanscale is a leader in ergonomic design and is committed to environmental sustainability for all its products.
