Back in 1959, the Time-Life Building was the tallest slab-formed skyscraper in New York. It was luxurious, fully equipped with a ultra-modern lobby with murals by Joseph Albers and Fritz Glarner. Then, in 1960, designer Ray Eames was asked to make pieces to accompany chairs designed by her husband, Charles. The result? The Eames Walnut Stool.
